The bye may not have come at an ideal time for the white-hot Jets, but Ryan isn’t complaining.

The Jets, winners of five in a row, will have its bye this week before hosting the Packers on Oct. 31. Players are due back to the area Sunday night, Ryan said. They will practice next Monday.
"Clearly you make sure that they know that there’s Player Protect that's available to them to take advantage of that,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," Ryan said. "They know that they represent the Jets on and off the field. I think that's important to these guys. So, it’s just something that you remind them of. The No. 1 thing is to be safe and
just to be smart out there."
Ryan said he has a two-day trip with his wife scheduled. He’ll also be in Baltimore on Saturday night to take part in the 10-year reunion of the 2000 Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl team.
“Parcells is right: You are what your record says you are,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],” Ryan said today. “We can improve as a team. I think we will
. Absolutely. It's hard to say we're not the best team in the league.”

Ryan admitted that he talked to his team this afternoon about staying out of trouble during the six-day break. The coach even mentioned the “Player Protect Program,” which Braylon Edwards decided not to use the morning he was arrested for DWI a few weeks ago.
It shouldn't come as a surprise, but Rex Ryan believes the Jets, who have the league's best record at 5-1, are the best of the best.
“When you win five games in a row, you kind of just wish you keep playing, to be honest with you,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],” Ryan said. “It is good to have the bye right now. We can enjoy it. Give them a little time off. Get away from it for a little bit. And then they come back ready to go.
We know that this is just the start of our mission.”

Dustin Keller was scheduled to have an MRI on his wrist, Ryan said. The tight end injured it in the first half, but played without incident for the remainder of the game. Ryan didn’t believe the injury was serious. LB David Harris "messed up" his nose, but Ryan doesn't believe it's broken.
No vacation for Darrelle Revis, who will stay in the area to rehab his ailing left hamstring. Ryan believed that his star cornerback made “substantial” progress from a confidence standpoint last week, so he decided to play him against the Broncos.
“It was an encouraging thing the way he came out of that game," Ryan said. “He was able to finish on plays. He might not be 100 percent right now, but he's getting closer to it."
