--> Ad Watch: NFL Asks Feingold to Remove Video of Randy Moss Mooning
The NFL did not approve the use of the footage in the ad. The ad shows a series of football players celebrating in the end zone, such as the Moss mooning from 2005.
Then Feingold says, “In pro football they call this excessive celebration and they punish it with fines and 15- yard penalties. It’s exactly the kind of behavior that corporate special interests and Ron Johnson are engaging in. They’re dancing in the end zone because they think they’re going to take down the US senator who’s been named the #1 enemy of Washington lobbyists. Fortunately the game isn’t over yet.”

Feingold is currently trailing Johnson in the polls with Election Day only four weeks away.

It’s not every day that the NFL gets involved in political campaign ads. Then again, it’s not every day that a US senator uses footage of then-Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss pretending to moon Green Bay Packers fans.

The campaign of Sen. Russ Feingold, D-WI, today said it will change its new ad to remove unauthorized footage from NFL games,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], including the Moss incident.

“We are making an edit to the ad to accommodate the NFL’s concerns,” campaign spokesman John Kraus told ABC News.
